Resumo

the estuary regulation planning of Ningyuan River in Sanya city located in the south of china was taken as a successful example to study estuary regulation planning in coastal cities affected by the reservoir flood. By discussing about how to coordinate the relationship among flood control, ecological environment protection, tourism landscape and the land development, the planning concept was put forward as following.1)the river section design should be considered not only the safety discharges of short-term and long-term,but also the land of residents leisure.2)River dredging could be in combination with the development of the beach.3)Take advantage of the Topographic condition and related planning to structure ecological scenery. These concepts could provide reference for similar estuary regulation.
