Resumo
ABSTRACT-The province of Misiones is located in the humid subtropical region of Argentina, for which the climate change scenarios predict a gradual increase in rainfall volume and intensity. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the trends of annual and seasonal rainfall from conventional and automatic weather station`s meteorological records. Seven observation points representing the different climatic characteristics of the province of Misiones were included; which have the most extensive records published, being 35 years the shortest and 92 years the longest. The results show a marked and growing trend of the annual precipitations through the decades, being the last decades those showed the biggest annual volumes. Grouped the seasons of the year by decades, we found significant differences among the decadal means only in the longest precipitation period of Montecarlo town.
