This work presents a study of the iterative analysis of data to control the pressure zones in the water distribution network of three-quarters of a municipality in the south of Minas Gerais. The objective of this study is to understand the water distribution network in question through the pressure maps presented by EPANET software 2.0 and, thus, to evaluate the implementation of pressure reducing valves and or pumps to the system in order to optimize the system pressure from the network if the interval established by the NBR 12218/94, which is 15 m to 50 m, is not answered. The methodology of work began with the data collection in the field of network variables, such as length of the excerpts, pressure on etc. Epanet was used for data analysis software and It was applied a methodology of trial and error in the work and that enables the deployment of possible valves and/or pumps needed for optimization of pressure in the network. The results presented by the study were considered relevant since after the deployment of 3 pressure reducing valves and a master in strategic points of the network, the pressure zones which were greater than 85 m. in the base scenario, passed the milder interval of 50 m to 75 m. However, parts of the network that show pressure ranges from 50 m to 75 m, framed-se to the desired interval of 15 m to 50 m, making the network suffers less with losses and damage to devices, resulting from high pressure in the network. The study wanted to frame the entire network in the range of standard, however, was not possible because, after the five scenario, any valve inserted in the system has already presented no significant result for reduction of pressure in the network.
