Resumo

Trindade Island is an oceanic island with a surface area of 10 km², located between the parallels 20º29 'and 20º32' S and between the meridians 29º21 'and 29º17' W. The literature indicates researches directed to environmental sciences, however a gap is noted in the themes geomorphology. This work is geomorphological hydro studies in oceanic islands and was developed from the altimetry heights obtained in the scale 1: 15.000 of Nautical Chart n ° 21 (BRAZIL -ISLANDS TO LONG -ISLAND OF TRINDADE). The manipulation of this data was done in ArcGis Arcmap® 10.3TMsoftware. In order to classify the relief it was used the geomorphons methodology, which proposes the description of the relief in 10 forms, from a correspondence between the textural classification of a .tif image, based on the spatial arrangement of shades of gray, comparing it with the specified distribution of elevation values of an MDE of a given region with spatial elevation arrangement using the Local Ternary Patterns (LTP) conceptto identify relief elements. The dominion of the structures of the slope and spur in the relief was verified of the Island.
