Resumo

The use of methods that analyze the hydrodynamic and sedimentological processes of coastal regions areessencialsfor the proper functioning of coastal management. The purpose of this work is to estimate the sedimentation rates,in the waterway access of the Port of Cabedelo. The analysis were made with models of SisBaHiA ® -Base System of Environmental Hydrodynamics.The simulated scenarios considered 365 days referring to the year 2017. According to the results, it was verified that the circulation in the maritime region is strongly influenced by the waves that approach the coast.The currents generated in the flood tide reach speeds of 1.3 m/s towardsthe jetty. The sediment transport model shows that the bathymetry in the access channel had a small variation, of the order of 5 cm for sedimentationand of 10 cm for erosion.
