SENSORIAMENTO REMOTO APLICADO AO DIAGNÓSTICO DA EROSÃO MARGINAL NO BAIXO RIO DOCE ? BRASIL
MEDIÇÃO, MODELAGEM, TÉCNICAS E TECNOLOGIAS NO CONTEXTO DA HIDROSSEDIMENTOLOGIA
The present study, which is part of a larger project,hasas its main objective the use ofremote sensingorbital and suborbitalproducts,together with GIS-Geographic InformationSystems techniques,in thediagnosis of changes in fluvial morphology by erosion processes in themiddle-low Doce river-Brazilbetweenthe years 1977 and 2017, downstream from the Aimoréshydroelectric power plant to the mouth of the ocean.We useimages of the river, treatment anddelimitation of fluvial elements such as polygonsofmarginal erosion, islands, sandy banks andbodies of water. With theriver channel division into four analysis segments andwith somecalculations it was possible to show, in this period of 40 years,anerosion of 241.9 ha of the gutterin a stretch of 141.6 km, with an average erosion rate of 1.51 ha / year. It was also verified, thatthe annual erosion rates of the river grew the amount for down during the period analyzed. Theuse of this technique with the use of remote sensing products providesan overview of the erosionprocesses of medium and large river systems, through a temporal study, especially of those devoidof analyzes / surveys of this nature. The methodology also allows increasing results, whenperforming a joint diagnosis erosion andsedimentation, revealing the erosion / sedimentation andratio erosion / sedimentation rates, among other analyzes.
