Resumo

Throughout Brazil, millions of tons of soil are lost each year because of the erosion phenomenon. It is significant and worrying about the state of soil degradation, as a consequence of the management and indefinite use. Because soil degradation becomes infertile to plantations, water courses and reservoirs are silted up by sediments, rural roads become intractable, causing environmental, social and economic damage to society. Ceará, because it is part of the semi-arid region, has very frequent environmental aspects. This study aimed to estimate indirectly a soil erodibility in the Benguê Basin, located in the municipality of Aiuaba, in the state of Ceará. An erodibility to estimate indirectly through methods such as: the Nomogram of Wischmeier et al. (1971) and equation of Wischmeier & Smith (1978), equation of Romkens et al. (1987) and Denardin's equation (1990). The erodibility values varied from 0.010 to 0.053 Mg.ha.h.MJ-1.mm-1.ha-1, with a respective classification variable at all levels. Among the values of erodibility obtained by the methods with the mean value of erodibility, the values obtained through Wischmeier & Smith's equation (1978) were the ones closest to the values obtained from the arithmetic mean of the four methods. Like Equations of Romkens et al. (1987) and Denardin (1990) presented smaller values when compared with the Kmédio.
