Resumo

Due the large deforestation and the bad management of soil, there was a increased the amount ofsediments transportedin the rivers.The sediments present in the rivers havesmall size, where they remain in suspended by the turbulent flow. Due to the importance in meet the granulometric data of water resources for a good management and planning, this article proposed to compare modern methods of granulometry measurements, from the equipment LISST-SL and MASTERSIZER 2000, where it can be observed that both equipments obtained the similar results, where the differences between the results did not exceed seventeen percent. LISST -SL proved to be very efficient and practical, since it does not require the collection of samples for laboratory analysis, doing all of its analyzes in field. The analyzes were done in a section of the Meia Ponte river, in Goiania, Goias, Brazil.
