Resumo

The reservoirs of hydroelectric power stations play a very important role to attend the water and energy demands of a region.Changes in hydrosedimentological parameters,such as increased solid discharge or deposited sediment volume, influence the availability of water resources. This study presents a case study to illustrate how the volume variation of a reservoir of asmall hydroelectric power plant influences the generation of energy and consequently in the attendance of the other demands of the region. It is important to highlight that studies like this canbe replicated to other sites and are important for the planning and management of national water and energy resources.
