Resumo
This work had the objective of analyzing the flow dynamics and sediments in the Ji-Paraná river basin, located in Rondônia, Western Amazonia, using the SWAT model. To do so, a database was constructed composed of precipitation, climate, topography, use and classification of the soil. The model was calibrated with flow and sediment data, made available on the National Water Agency (ANA) site, and this procedure was evaluated by r2 and NASH coefficients. Satisfactory NASH coefficient values ranging from 0.14 to 0, 87 suggest a good fit of the modeled flow data with those observed in situ. However, NASH values between -9.22 to 0 were not satisfactory for sediment calibration. The r 2 values ranged from 0.03 to 0.41 for sediment and 0.24 to 0.9 for flow. Similar to the NASH coefficient, r2 expressed a consistent calibration of the modeled flow with the field information and an unsatisfactory calibration for sediments. In this way, it was noticed that the model presented a good capacity of calibration of the flow data.
