Resumo

Using a documental research methodology, the present article investigated, through the collection of national and international reports, the possible impacts of the disaster that occurred in the district of Marina-MG, through the indication of indicators of socioeconomic impact and health it is possible to measure a magnitude of such a disaster. During the 21-month period, a total of 92 reports corresponded to 75% of national news and 25% of international news. The largest volume of news occurs in the immediate period of the disaster, which can be explained by the search for information to understand the current scenario, addressing issues related to the environment, economy and health, focusing on work (at least 5 times) Productivity and Agricultural, production and export of ore, tax collection, provision of public services (health, education and social assistance). After that, it is worth emphasizing the issue of water supply in relation to the contamination of springs and diseases related to the event. In the face of this, a documentary analysis has become essential for the collection of impact indicators.
