Resumo
The identification and mapping of landslide scars consists in a fundamental step of the slope stability estimation process, applied both in pointing the location of risk zones and in the calibration and validation of mathematical models. Several methods for identifying landslides scars have been recently developed, showing, however, numerous limitations. The definition of an evolutive spectral identity (Identidade Espectral Evolutiva ? IEE), related to vegetation recovery and reconsolidation represents a potential application to scars identification. In the present work, the IEE is assessed based in the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index ? NDVI, of a short-term series of multispectral imagery from Sentinel-2 sensor. The study considered the extreme event occurred in January/2017 in the Mascarada River watershed, in the northeastern region of the Rio Grande do Sul state ? Brazil, which resulted in the deflagration of 403 landslides. Sentinel-2 products demonstrated the capability to translate vegetation?s behavior through the analysis of average NDVI in pre-mapped scars, however, it was not efficient when analyzing each scar individually.
