Resumo
Landslides phenomenon occur all over the world. When it happens in urban areas, it can affect the population, leading to social and economic damages, and even deaths. That´s why it?s extremely important to identify and monitor areas of landslides-susceptible. Physically-based models have been widely used to predict unstable areas for landslides, especially due to low operational cost. The aim of this work is to use the Trigrs model to predict landslides-susceptible areas in Piracuama basin, located at Campos do Jordão municipality, in São Paulo State, Brazil. The geotechnical data were acquired from literature and the rainfall data were obtained from pluviometer installed by Cemaden in the area. The model validation was performed by comparing the Trigrs results and the previously registered landslides. Finally, an analysis was made between the location of the occurrences and the type of land use and occupation, which verified that the anthropic occupation is an important factor determining the landslides.
