Resumo
In the face of climate change risks such as water scarcity and flooding, Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) emerges as an alternative and adaptive solution, as it integrates natural and engineered systems to enhance water management and provides multiple co-benefits. In addition, the restoration of natural resources is followed by several benefits to human beings, called Ecosystem Services (ES). In the field of water resources, approaching BGI through the lens of ES not only supports effective water management, but also contributes to restoring human well-being by enhancing the benefits people derive from nature. In this work, we make a systematic review to analyze the conceptualization and implementation trending of BGI, as well as the ES approaching and how this perspective supports sustainable water management. The results showed that between 2012 and 2025, scientific production on BGI and ES has grown steadily, especially after 2017. The literature reveals a conceptual convergence around ES, climate change, flooding, and green infrastructure, with increasing focus on urban resilience and risk management. Thematic evolution shows a shift from broad environmental concerns to integrated, applied strategies for climate adaptation in urban contexts.
