Resumo

The study of the transport of sediments in rivers is a subject little studied due to the scarcity of data, so it is intended to study sediment transport in the rivers Santa Isabel and Málaga, located in the city of Cochabamba (Bolivia) .. The objective of this investigation is to contribute With the improvement of the availability of reference data at the local level that guide a procedure to quantify the sediment rate in high mountain rivers, as well as to propose equations that best reproduce the solid transport phenomenon. Campaigns were carried out to measure liquid and solid discharges, followed by the formulation of the own empirical expressions, using the dimensional analysis, also the application of linear and non-linear regression techniques, for their respective comparison of the measured and calculated values of The Nash & Sutcliffe COEx and Others Efficiency Coefficients. As a result, there are two models that better represent the transport of sediments and armored rivers.
