Resumo

Rainfall erosivity is the numerical expression of rainfall potential in erosion and is the main input agent for soil and water loss prediction models, but there is a lack of rainfall data with representative series in Brazil, reducing the accuracy of prediction models. The objective of this study was to determine the erosivity factor (R) of the Cerrado-Pantanal transition region to better use models of erosion prediction and control. The data presented correspond to theinterval of years from 2013 to 2016, rainfall data were obtained by the UEMS-UUA automated agrometeorological station, located at the UEMS experimental farm in the city of Aquidauana-MS. The generated pluviograms present a data collection interval of 5 minutes with a smaller reading scale with an amplitude of 10 mm of precipitated height and 0.2 mm as a smaller scale. Eroses were classified as erosive rains and EI30 were separated for events with precipitation greater than 10 mm and, if greater than 6 mm over a 15-minute interval. Subsequently, Kinetic Energy (Ec) was determined according to Wischmeier eSmith (1978), which was used for the determination of the individual EI30 and the monthly EI30 by the sum of the individual EI30. It was observed that the annual EI30 was 11,980 MJ mm ha-1h-1and 82.5% of this total was concentrated during the months of November to May. It was observed that the values of erosivity vary a lot during the year, with amplitude varying from 110 to 2,166 MJ mm ha-1h-1. The values of erosivity are higher in the period from November to December, a fact that increases the risk of occurrence of soil losses in this period.
