Resumo

Water reservoirs are subject to some degree of silting, and this process can cause numerous problems, thus affecting the functionality for which it was built. Therefore, in the literature, there are some models that aim to estimate the silting. However, all of them have a deterministic character, and the siltation, due to the innumerable uncertainties involved in its parameters, besides its spatiotemporal variability, must be considered as stochastic.Hydrologic Engineering Center's River Analysis System (HEC-RAS 5.0.3) is a widely used software in the area of Hydraulics, but it estimates sedimentation in a deterministicallyway. Accordingly, in this work, computational codes were developed to make this program estimate stochastically the sedimentation in the reservoir of a Small Hydropower Plant (SHP).From the codesimplementation it is possible to automatically fill the flow series and sediment key curve data in the HEC-RAS. Lastly, it is possible to work with thousands of values of these hydrosedimentologicalparameters and to have thousands of silting results, so that the silting occurs in a cross section and/or in a longitudinal section.
