Resumo

This work presents the sediment production in two rainfall events in an urban watershed in São Miguel do Oeste -SC. A hydrometric station was installed where flows and suspended sediment concentrations were monitored. The events analyzed in thisstudy were observed on 07/13/2016 and 08/15/2016. The measurements were made of liquid discharges with fluviometric spinning and sampling of suspended sediments using the USDH-48 sampler. We found maximum concentrations of 100 mg / L (07/13/2016) and 125 mg / L (08/15/2016), corresponding to sediment yields at the end of the event of 41.2 kg and 259 kg respectively. These sediment productions were caused by rain events of 6.6 mm and 8 mm for July 7, 2016, and August 15, 2016, respectively. These rains caused maximum flows of 0.6 m³ / s that generated very different sediment productions. This difference can be attributed to the conditions in which these particles were found along the wathershedin the urban area.
