ANÁLISE DA OPERAÇÃO DE POSTOS DA REDE HIDROSSEDIMENTOMÉTRICA NO RIO MADEIRA NO PERÍODO DE 2015 A 2018

The water resources meet much of the demand of electrical energy generation. In Brazil, the hydraulic sources of energy represent more than 68% of the whole sector(BRAZIL, 2017). Although it is a very important resource, few studies are made aiming to know the dynamics of the superficial water bodies, mainly after the installation of hydroelectric undertakings. Thus, this work focus on showing the analyses of the results of the hydrosedimentometric campaigns accomplished in the Madeira River attwo gauging stations placed upstream and downstream the Jirau Hydroelectric Power Plant. The flow and sediment rating curves were analyzed, as well as the sediment mass curve in relation to the water flow. The Jirau Power Plant has an installed power of 3,750 MW, which is enough to provide electrical energy for more than ten million residences. It is the fourth larger dam in Brazil,as regards installed power. For the topic study, short term analyzes were considered (2015-2018), by keeping the same membersof the crew, measuring methods and equipment. The results indicate a good correlation and soundnessof the data acquired hitherto.
